MAC Viva Glam/Miley Cyrus

Love her or loathe her she's going to be everywhere for the next few months as MAC have just announced Miley as the latest face of their Viva Glam campaign.

Miley is the newest face to the brand following on from other famous faces such as Nicki Minaj, Rhianna, The Osborne Ladies & Lady Gaga.

The Miley duo is due to hit stores in the US on January the 22nd and here in the UK on February 12th 2015,
The lipstick is an amplified shade and is a hot pink colour, and the lipglass is made to match perfectly, it looks pretty glittery from the press release pictures, and I have no doubt it'll channel Miley's edginess and youth in being bold and glittery.

Every pound of the sales will go to the MAC aids fund according to Miley, that's great news and actually surprised me as I really thought she'd be doing this collaboration for her own gain, goes to show you shouldn't always judge a book by it's cover....

Will you be buying wither of these products next year?

Forever Living 'Flawless' By Sonia/Guest Post Featuring Hailey Slade

I was tagged in a post on Instagram recently by my lovely friend Hailey, she wanted to share some new cosmetics she's been using and I thought what a better way to share them with you all than to ask her to guest post.

Hailey has been using some products by a US based company called Forever Living, although they are available through their UK online shop by clicking here delivery takes just 3 days!
These products are all a part of their 'Flawless By Sonia' Range.

This is my review on the amazing products from the Forever Living ‘’Flawless by Sonya’’ range.
All of the products are 100% natural, Aloe Vera based, GM herbicide & pesticide free, and totally animal cruelty free.
The products I've been reviewing are:
The Lengthening Mascara, Black Eyeliner, BB Creme, &; Cherry Red Lipstick.
I was amazed at the effect the Lengthening Mascara £20,54 had on my lashes, the fine bristled comb makes application so easy, especially on those hard to coat lashes in at the corners of your eye.
The Eyeliner £10.89 is extremely soft, therefore really easy and comfortable to apply, great for inner and outer eye lining, comes out nice and dark too. It also lasts all day without any smudging or spreading.

The BB Creme £31.38, is my favourite product from this range, and absolutely incredible!
They sell only 2 tones, a nude for pale skin and a Cocoa for dark skin, once applied the creme blends with your own skin tones. It is also a concealer and has a Spf 20! Again this lasts all day without fading, and covers evenly.
The Cherry Red Lipstick £16.64 has a nice fine sheen and can be built up to as bold of a red as you like, applies like a tinted lip balm so isn't a very bold red, but more of a subtle tone, which I like. This is the first red lipstick I have found that doesn't spread or bleed!

I am so in love with the Flawless by Sonya Range, and would recommend it to anyone and everyone!
Even better that they’re 100% natural, therefore anyone with problem skin will feel the benefits from the Aloe Vera.

I'm sure you'll agree these products look absolutely amazing, thank you Hailey. The look of all the products combined really do look great, peronally I'm very jealous of how fab your skin looks, and those pretty eyes of yours!

Not only has Hai got a great eye for fab cosmetics but she's also a genius when it comes to her work, head over to her Facebook page Tattoos By Hai to check out her talents...not just a pretty face!

It's been a pleasure to have you guest post for me Hailey, make sure you keep me posted on any new purchases, this could become a regular feature.

Louboutins/A Dream Come True!

I can't actually believe I'm writing a post on my dream shoes, for at least 10 years I've only ever dreamt of owning a pair of Louboutins, and now I do.

The iconic red sole, something I've only ever lusted after never actually thinking that one day my dream would come true.

My birthday was on Saturday the 11th of October, I was in London and my other half suggested a trip to Harrods in Knightsbridge for a spot of Birthday shopping, shoe heaven on level 5 is literally just that, its a maze, floor to ceiling full of designer shoes. I headed straight for Christian Louboutin as I'd had my eye on the Simple Patent Pump so I found them and tried them on, I have to say I felt a little deflated as they just looked awful.

I continued around the store and picked up loads of different styles and tried them all on, nothing gave me the feeling of 'oh my I love these' and then I spotted them, the beautiful Ron Ron 100mm sat there in all their glory. The classic red and black combination the sensible heel height and the suede finish meant they just fitted my feet like a glove and as soon as I tried them on I knew they were the ones.
The sizing is meant to run really small and Louboutin always advise taking a size up, but the 37's in the Ron Ron fitted me just perfectly. I felt like Cinderella must have when that glass slipper was placed on her foot.

I can honestly say nothing beats the feeling of  my first pair, I am still on a high now I keep opening my wardrobe to look at them, I'm sure you'll agree my face in this picture says it all.....
The woman in the boutique advised that the red soles will mark and wear on the first use, and your reminded of this on the receipt.....

So I'm now trying to contemplate where is best enough to wear them. You can have them resoled at just one specialist boutique cobbler called Minuit Moins (7 mints to midnight) for just £25 which I thought is really reasonable. They will have a much more hard wearing rubber sole applied to them after wearing the red off initially, or if you like the iconic red leather then they can even replace that too, think of them as the Louboutin hospital.
You can shop the Ron Ron 100mm via the Louboutin website they retail at £425, these are at the cheaper end of the scale for Louboutins as prices can vary of anything up to £5,000, never the less I love my shoes so much, I feel so fortunate and lucky to own a pair after wanting them for so long.

I know he reads my blog so I'd like to say a huge thank you to my other half, your amazing!

Glamorama/ Angel Limited Edition by Thierry Mugler

To celebrate the new face of Angel Thierry Mugler has given the iconic bottle a make over in celebration of the collaboration with the beautiful Georgia May Jagger.
Her success follows on from her mother Jerry Hall who was the face of the fragrance back in 1995, Georgia who currently has campaigns with other beauty brands is said to bring and edgier more modern feel to the scent, and the bottle is a real reflection of the edgy, rock chick glamour she's well known for.

This special edition would make the best gift for Christmas and it houses the same signature scent many of us love there has been no changes to the fragrance.

It's exclusive to Selfridges (click to shop)and retails at £65 for a 50ml bottle, that's refillable, genius! I love a well packaged product and  this beautiful box and bottle are a must for any Angel fan to display on their dressing table.

Clarins/Ladylike Autumn Collection

The temperature has certainly dropped lately, and while some of us are still yet to jet off on our summer holidays there's no escaping the fact that autumn is here.

Clarins Ladylike collection has all the products you'll need to soften the blow of kissing goodbye to summer & hello to the colder weather.

I love autumn/winter make up, the paler skin the autumnal brown and earthy hue eyes, and the pink blush always makes for a winning combo.

I've been reviewing the instant Light Eye Base which I featured on a post a couple of weeks ago, you can catch up on it here I've also swatched this stunning eye quartet, if your a Clarins fan you'll know just how good the colour pay off is from these quads.
How gorgeous is this eye palette?!

The thing I LOVE about Clarins shadows is that they can be used wet or dry, so you can use them for day or night. The palette also includes a lovely dark brown, when applied with the pointed applicator dipped in water it gives a lovely autumnal liner effect.

The left shot shows the colours swatched dry and then the right is using a wet applicator, you can also use the pointed top applicator in the pan to line your lashes, all the colours look fabulous as a liner when applied wet.....
The lovely people at Clarins are really coming up trumps with the palette offerings lately and this is another one that's sure to sell out fast!

Available at Clarins counters nationwide or via their website and it retails for £32 this is palette number 13 and is called 'Skin Tones'

Happy Birthday/London Fun

They say Birthday's aren't much fun as you get older, I couldn't disagree more!
I was spoilt rotten this year, and my other half really pulled all the stops out to ensure my birthday was so good.
I arrived in London on the Friday and as soon as I checked in I hit Oxford Street, I literally shopped until I dropped. I love shopping in London, the variety of shops is amazing there and I love getting things that I cant find locally here.

Saturday morning I woke up to my lovely straighteners which I featured in a post of their own yesterday, We headed out to Covent Garden I love it there, we saw the wonderful artwork there by British artist Alex Chinneck he's created an illusion of art that replicates the piazza building in Covent Garden.
We then headed to the very quaint BB Bakery in Covent Garden for afternoon Tea, absolutely delicious and such good value for money. My other half then whisked me off to Harrods for some Birthday shopping, I will be doing a separate post on the shoes but yes I finally own a pair of Louboutins, I think my face says it all in the picture outside the boutique.
My birthday was topped off with a trip to the Palladium theatre to watch Michael Flatley's Lord Of The Dance, fantastic show, loved every minute.

Sunday we hired the Barclays bikes and cycled around the city on our own sightseeing tour, it was great fun and was a really nice way of exploring London.
